and to re-enact the several sections of said sub-title "Berlin,"
of said article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws, with
amendments from sections 29 to 48, both inclusive, and
to add twenty new sections thereto, to follow section 48, and
to be numbered and known as sections 48A, 48B, 48C, 48D, 48E,
48F, 48G, 48H, 48I, 48J, 48K, 48L, 48M, 48N, 48O, 48P, 48Q, 48R,
48S, 48T.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 480 of the Acts passed at the January ses-
sion of the year 1896, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 29 to 48, both inclusive, of article
24 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Worcester County,'
sub-title 'Berlin,' and to add certain new sections to said arti-
cle and sub-title to follow section 48, and to be designated as
sections 48A, 48B, 48C, 48D and 48E," and chapter 573 of the
Acts passed at the January session of the year 1902, entitled
"An Act to add two additional sections to chapter 480 of the
Acts of 1896 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Worces-
ter County,' sub-title 'Berlin,' and to be known as sections 4lA
and 42A," and sections 29 to 48 inclusive, of said article 24
of the Code of Public Local Laws, be and the same are hereby
repealed, and the several sections of said sub-title "Berlin" of
article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws, from sections 29 to
48, both inclusive, are hereby re-enacted with amendments, and
that twenty new sections be and the same are hereby added to
said article and sub-title, to follow section 48, and to be num-
bered and known as sections 48A, 48B, 48C, 48D, 48E, 48F, 48G,
48H, 48I, 48J, 48K, 48L, 48M, 48N, 48O, 48P, 48Q, 48R, 48S 48R,
and to read as to said sections repealed and re-enacted, and
said new sections, as follows:

29. The inhabitants of Berlin, in Worcester county, are now
and shall hereafter be, as they have heretofore been, a body
corporate under the name and title of the Mayor and Council
of Berlin, with all the rights, franchises, powers, prerogatives
and privileges which, at the date of this enactement, they, as
a body corporate, have, hold and possess and as well all the
rights, franchises, powers, privileges and prerogatives which
are given under this enactment, and that may hereafter be
given, acquired and received thereby, under the authority of
law. And the said body corporate shall have perpetual suc-
cession, and by the said name may sue and be sued, and they
may purchase and otherwise acquire for corporate purposes,
and they may hold and possess property, real, personal and
mixed, and they may sell, dispose of and convey said property
for the benefit of said town, and they may use a corporate seal,
and may alter the same at pleasure.
