1126 LAWS OF MARYLAND.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 16 of chapter 195 of the session of 1906, re-
lating to Willard's charter, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That the commissioners of said
town annually levy a tax for the expenses of the corporation
upon the taxable property within the limits of said town, real
and personal, and the same shall be collected by a collector
appointed by the commissioners for the purpose, whose compen-
sation shall be fixed by the commissioners and who shall give
bond in such amount as they shall prescribe, and the said
collector, in collecting the said taxes, shall have full power
to distrain for the purpose in the same manner as the collector
of the State and county have, but said taxes shall not exceed
twenty-five cents on the one hundred dollars for any one
year. For the basis of said taxes then shall be appointed by
the commissioners three competent persons, who shall make an
assessment of all properties, both real and personal, within
the corporate limits of said town, in each and every year, not
later than the first day of May.
SEC. 19A. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 733.
AN ACT to repeal chapter 480 of the Acts passed at the Janu-
ary session of the year 1896, entitled "An Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments 29 to 48, both inclusive, of article
24 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Worcester County/
sub-title 'Berlin,' and to add certain new sections to said
article and sub-title to follow section 48, and to be desig-
nated as sections 48A, 48B, 48c, 48o and 48E," and to repeal
chapter 573 of the Acts passed at the January session of the
year 1902, entitled "An Act to add two additional sections
to chapter 480 of the Acts of 1896, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title 'Worcester County,' sub-title 'Berlin,' and
to be known as 4lA and 42A," and to repeal sections 29 to 48,
inclusive, of said article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
