schools of Somerset county had been kept open nine months
in the year ending December 31, 1907.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Board of School
Commissioners shall apply the said sum so received by the
provisions of the Act to the support of the public schools of
said county in the same manner as the other portions of the
State school tax received by said county are intended to be
applied under the provisions of the existing law of this State.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 4.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section 9 of chapter 219 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1906, enti-
tled "An Act to repeal all existing laws for Somerset county
relating to wild fowl, game, birds and animals," and to enact
the following in lieu thereof, for the better protection and
preservation of the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 9 of chapter 219, of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1906, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted as follows:
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That every non-resident of Somer-
set county who shall desire to hunt game, as prescribed in
section 2 of said Act, shall, before so doing, procure from the
clerk of the Circuit Court for Somerset county an annual li-
cense, as follows: Non-residents of the State shall, before being
allowed to hunt game, under the provisions of said chapter
219, pay a license fee of f 10.00, with fifty cents to the clerk
for issuing same, and residents of the State, but non-residents
of the county, shall pay a license fee of $2.50, with twenty-five
cents to the clerk for issuing same. Each offender- for viola-
tion of this section shall pay a penalty of $25.00 or be im-
prisoned not less than ten days, or more than thirty, or both,
in the discretion of the court or justice of the peace before
whom trial may be had. All moneys from the granting of
license aforesaid shall be by said clerk of the Circuit Court
paid over to the treasurer of Somerset county to be applied by
said treasurer of Somerset county to the payment of the
bounty for the destruction of hawks in said county, as pro-
