on Green street, Annapolis, subject as to their powers and
duties to the conditions and provisions of section one, chapter
275, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1896.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said building committee

shall, as speedily as possible, procure and adopt a plan and
specifications for the erection of said additional rooms, and
shall invite proposals for the construction thereof in the
manner and subject to all the conditions and requirements of
section two of said chapter 275.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said building committee,

upon entering into any contract as mentioned in the preceding
section, shall make reports to the County Commissioners and
to the School Commissioners of Anne Arundel county, and to
the corporation of Annapolis, in manner and form as provided
in section three of chapter 275 aforesaid.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of con-
tributing toward the erection and furnishing of said additional

rooms and for the further purpose of paying the Hudson School
Furniture Company the sum of two thousand dollars for fur-
niture already furnished said school building, and for the
further purpose of paying Walter H. Schaeffer and Lena
Strohm as hereinafter provided, the School Commissioners of
Anne Arundel county, be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to issue bonds in the name of the School Commission-
ers of Anne Arundel county, with the endorsement thereon of
the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county^ (which
endorsement said County Commissioners are hereby authorized
and required to give) to the amount of six thousand ($6,000)
dollars ; said bonds shall be issued in the same manner and
form and subject to similar requirements and provisions as
those contained in section four of chapter 275 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1896, of which this
Act is a supplement, except that the amount of bonds to be
issued or of money to be paid by the Mayor, Counsellor and
Aldermen of the city of Annapolis, simultaneously toward the
purposes aforesaid, shall be three thousand ($3,000) dollars, as
hereinafter provided. Said bonds shall be dated the first day
of July, 1898, shall bear interest at the rate of five per centum
per annum, payable on the first day of January and July in
each year, until said bonds are respectively paid.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the School Commissioners
