LLOYD LOWNDES, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

Commissioners of Cambridge may direct, and shall at least ten.
days prior to said election, appoint three judges thereof, who
shall in time prior to or on the day of election, appoint two
clerks of election, and hold the election as herein provided,
the said judges and clerks of election n'rst qualifying them-
selves to act as such, by taking before a justice of the peace
the oaths prescribed by sections 48 and 49 of Article 33 of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Elections," as the same
were codified before the passage of chapter 538 of the Acts of
1890, and any subsequent amendments to said Article 33, and
the said election shall be held under the provisions of law, as
they existed prior to the enactment of the Australian ballot
law by said chapter 538 of the Acts of 1890, and the subse-
quent Acts amending said Article 33 of the Code of Public
General Laws, title "Elections."

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the ballots cast at said

election shall have written or printed upon, the words "For
License," and "Against License," and that the ballots so cast,
shall be carefully counted by the said judges of election, and
that said judges shall make a return of such vote to the Com-
missioners of Cambridge ; and if it appears that a majority of
the ballots so cast shall contain the words "For License,"
written or printed upon them, then the said Commissioners
shall forthwith make proclamation of the result of the election,
by advertisement thereof at least once in the newspapers as
aforesaid, and on and after the second day of July next, it
shall be lawful for all persons to sell spirituous and fermented
liquors within the limits of said town, under the restrictions
and provisions herein contained, and sections 209 to 213, inclu-
sive, of Article ten of the Public Local Laws of Dorchester,
as amended by chapter — of the Acts of 1896, shall in that
event be and are hereby repealed, but if the majority of the
votes cast are "Against License," the law now in force shall
continue and be in full force and effect.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That in case the majority of

Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dor-
chester County," sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks,"
to follow section 213, and to be designated as sections 213 A,
213 B, 213 C, 213 D, 213 F and 213 G, and to read as fol-
lows :
