SECTION 1. Be it enacted- by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That hereafter it shall not be lawful for the clerk
of the Circuit Court for Frederick county to issue a license or
licenses to any person or persons or body corporate, to sell
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer in the village of
Jefferson, in Frederick county, or at any place in said county
within two miles of the corporate limits of said village of
Jefferson.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 338.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Mortgage Loan and
Guarantee Company, as incorporated by Chapter 357 of the
Acts passed at the January session of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1896, by repealing and re-enacting with amend-
ments Section 12 thereof, and by adding one section thereto
to be designated as Section 4, to follow Section 3 of said Act.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
