CHAPTER 239.
AN ACT to refund to the Atlas Building Association of Balti-
more City money erroneously paid into the State Treasury.
WHEREAS, The Atlas Building Association, in common with

many other similar association, paid into the State treasury a
sum of money from erroneous construction of chapter 536 of
the Acts of 1890;- and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The treasury officials of the State recommended
the repayment to said associations the sums so erroneously paid ;
and

WHEREAS, The General Assembly of Maryland, at its Janu-
ary session, 1896, considered the questions involved and returned

to all such associations as applied for the relief the moneys thus
erroneously paid, as will appear by chapters 353 and 472,
respectively, of the Acts of 1896 ; therefore,
SECTION 1. B e it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the Comptroller be and he is hereby directed to
draw his warrant on the Treasurer of the State to the order of
the Atlas Building Association of Baltimore city, for the sum
of sixty-five dollars, being the amount erroneously paid into,
the treasury, as aforesaid, and the treasurer be and he is hereby
directed to pay the same out of any moneys in the treasury not
otherwise appropriated.

Effective

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 7, 1898.

CHAPTER 330.
AN ACT to incorporate the Michaels Cemetery Association
of Garrett Connty.

Preamble

WHEREAS, John Michaels did in his lifetime set apart a cer-
tain piece of land for a family graveyard ; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, the descendants of the said John Michaels have
used the said graveyard, improved and enlarged the same ;
and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, the said descendants and others are desirous to
further enlarge and improve the said graveyard and grounds ;
therefore,

Body
corporate.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Andrew J. Michaels, Jessie Michaels, John L.
Michaels, Charles Michaels, Peter B. Michaels, George T.
