CHAPTER 305.
AN ACT to extend the privileges, enlarge the powers, and
amend the charter of the American Land, Loan and Build-
ing Association of Ellicott City and Howard County, so as
to enable it to loan money on or purchase promissory and
negotiable notes, bills obligatory or other evidences of debt.
SECTION, 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

of Ellicott City and Howard County, be and the same is here-
by authorized and empowered to loan money on or when they
deem it desirable to purchase promissory and negotiable notes,
bills obligatory or other evidences of debt.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said corporation shall
be subject to the provisions of chapter 109 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1892, as amended by chapter 160 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1896, and to all general laws
applicable to companies or associations of a character similar
to that named in this Act.
