LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That the Major, Counsellor and
Aldermen of the city of Annapolis, the Board of School Com-

pass ordi-
nances, etc,

missioners of Anne Arundel county, and the Board of County
Commissioners of said county, are hereby authorized and
directed, as speedily as possible after the passage of this Act,
to pass all such ordinances, orders or resolutions, and to make
all such appropriations as may be necessary ; to have printed,
signed, advertised and sold the bonds to be issued by them
respectively, as required by this Act, and to do all such other
Acts as may be necessary to carry fully into effect the objects
of this Act ; and are further hereby authorized and directed,
respectively, in case of delay or failure in selling said bonds or
either of said issues thereof hereby authorized, at least at the
par value thereof at public sale, to borrow money, respectively,
at the current banking rates therefor, upon the note or notes
discounted in the one case of the said school commissioners,
endorsed by said Board of County Commissioners up to the
amount of six thousand dollars ($6,000 ;) and in the other
case, upon the note or notes discounted of the said Mayor,
Counsellor and Aldermen, up to the amount of three thousand
dollars ($3,000,) and to pledge their respective unsold bond
issues as collateral security for the payment of such note or
notes so discounted by them, or either of them respectively.

Effective.

SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 277.
AN ACT to repeal Section 10 of Article XI of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Banks," and to re-
enact the same with amendments, and to add additional sec-
tions to said Article XI, to be designated as Sections 31, 32,
33, 34 and 35, and to repeal all Acts and parts of Acts incon-
sistent herewith.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 10 of Article XI of the Code of Public

Repeal.

General Laws, title "Banks," be and the same is hereby
repeal and re-enacted with amendments, and that new sections
be added to said Article XI, to be designated sections 31, 32,
33, 34 and 35, so that said section 10 and sections 31, 32, 33,
34 and 35 shall read as follows :
