Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 7, 1898.

CHAPTER 251.
AN ACT to declare the sanction of the General Assembly of
Maryland to the bequest of Jeremiah Rinehart, late of Car-
roll County, deceased to the trustees of Emanuel's (or com-
monly called Baust's) Church, near Tyrone, in the County of
Carroll, State of Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

be and the same is hereby given and declared to the above-
mentioned devise and bequest of said Jeremiah Rinehart,
deceased.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 252.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendment section four
of Chapter one hundred and two of the Acts of eighteen
hundred and ninety-six.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section four of chapter one hundred and two of
the Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-six be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, to read as follows :

4. And be it enacted, That the siam of three thousand

dollars per annum be and the same is hereby appropriated for
the formation and support of Farmers' Institutes in this State ;
and that the Comptroller be and he is hereby authorized to
issue his warrant, annually, upon the Treasurer of the State
for the said sum of money, out of any fund not otherwise appro-
priated; that the said sum of money shall be payable to the order
of the Maryland Agricultural College, on or after the first of
October of each fiscal year ; and that the first yearly payment
under this amendment shall be made during the fiscal year
ending September thirtieth, in the year eighteen hundred and
ninety-eight.

Effective.

from the date of its passage.
