be designated as 133 A, 133 B, 133 C, 133 D, 133 E and 133 F, as
follows :

County
treasurer
elected.

133 A. At the general election of delegates to be held on
Tuesday after the first Monday of November, eighteen hun-
dred and ninety-nine, and at such election every fonr years
thereafter, there shall be elected a county treasurer for Queen
Anne's county, by the qualified voters of said county who
shall hold his office for the term of four years from the first
day of June following and until a successor is elected and
qualified, and who shall be subject at all times to be removed
for wilful neglect of duty or misdemeanor in office upon con-
viction in a court of law, and in no event shall he be eligible to
re-election until he shall have fully settled up all business con-
nected with his former term. It shall be the' duty of said
county treasurer to collect all State and county taxes levied in
Queen Anne's county, or payable to said County Commissioners
after said year of eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, and said
treasurer shall assess all new unassesed property in said county
after said year; and for this purpose he shall be clothed with
all the powers possessed by collectors of taxes under the pro-
visions of the Code of Public General Laws, as same may exist
during his term ; and said treasurer shall furnish all stamps and
stationery he may require, and shall receive an annual salary of
twenty-two hundred dollars, and the further sum of twenty-
five cents for each person's property assessed by him ; said treas-
urer shall, before entering upon the duties of bis office, execute
to the State of Maryland two bonds with a guarantee or surety
company of this State, as surety to be approved by the County
Commissioners of said county, one for fifteen thousand dollars,
conditioned for the faithful collection and payment to the
State treasurer of all State taxes levied and placed in his hands
for collection, and the faithful performance of all other duties
devolving on him, and another bond for twenty-five thousand
dollars, conditioned for the proper collection and disbursements
of all taxes levied and placed in his hands for Queen Anne's
county, and the faithful performance of all other duties devolv-
ing on him, said bonds to be filed and recorded in the office of
the clerk of the Circuit Court for said county.
133 B. It shall be the duty of the treasurer each year during

his term of office, as soon as the annual levy is made to give
public notice thereof by advertisement inserted in two news-
papers printed and published in said county, and the taxes so
levied shall be due and payable on the first Monday of Sep-
