SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Baltimore and Washington Transit Company

of Maryland be and the same is hereby aurhorized and empow-
ered to construct and operate its railway to and from the Dis-
trict of Columbia to the Pennsylvania line, through Prince
George's, Montgomery, Howard, Carroll and Frederick counties
starting at a point at or near Tacoma Park, on the District of
Columbia line, and running thence in a general northerly
direction through Prince George's county, by or near the "Old
Mill;" thence through Montgomery county, by or near Burnt
Mills post office and Sandy Springs post office to the valley of
the Patuxent ; thence approximately following the boundaries
of Howard, Frederick and Carroll counties to or near Union
Bridge post office in Carroll county ; thence continuing in a
generally northerly direction, by or near Taneytown post office
to the Pennsylvania line ; with the right to extend branches
through any of said counties not to exceed twenty miles in
length.
SEC. 2. That said company be and the same is hereby

CHAPTER 235.
AN ACT to amend Article eighteen of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title " Queen Anne's County," sub-title " County
Commissioners," by adding six new sections thereto, so as to
constitute a new sub-title " County Treasurer," providing for
a county treasurer, and to define his power and duties, and
to be known as Sections 133 A, 133 B, 133 o, 133 D, 133 E
and 133 F, and to" repeal laws inconsistent therewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That six new sections be and the same are hereby added
