110. The treasurer shall keep his office open iu the court
house, at Upper Marlboro, in said county, from ten o'clock A.

M. until three o'clock P. M. each day, Sundays and legal holi-
days excepted, for the purpose of discharging the duties of his
office. He shall also, in person or by deputy, attend, one day
in the month of June, and one day in the month of Septem-
ber of each year, in each election district of said county, for
the purpose of collecting taxes payable to him, and he shall
give at least ten days' notice of the times and places of such
attendance, in one newspaper published in said county, and by
handbills posted in each district, He shall, upon payment
thereof, deliver to the taxpayer a receipted bill, containing each
item of real estate, and the aggregate of personalty therein
embraced.

111. The treasurer shall at the end of his term of office,
deliver up the office to his successor, and all papers and books

relative thereto, except the books containing taxes of the last
annual levy uncollected by him and for which his bond is
responsible; and he shall be allowed nine months thereafter
to complete the collection of the same, and to make final settle-
ment with the County Commissioners of Prince George's
county and the Treasurer of the State of Maryland, said books
retained by him, as hereinbefore provided, shall not be
removed, however, from the treasurer's office.

112. The treasurer shall be entitled to a clerk to he appointed
by himself, and for whose official conduct he shall be responsi-
ble, said clerk shall be paid tive hundred dollars per annum by
the County Commissioners of Prince George's county.
