or in addition to the manner of redemption therein described,
is to be or may be presented to or redeemed by the person or
association of persons selling, bartering or trading the goods,
wares or merchandise as in said sections set forth, at any other
place than that where said sale, barter or trade was made, or
in any other manner than bv something certain and known to
the purchaser at the time of said sale, barter or purchase ; pro-
vided, however, that nothing contained in this or the preceding
section is intended to prevent any manufacturer from offering
any gift or present to any purchaser of his products.
263 C. Any person or asssociation of persons violating any
of the provisions of the two preceding sections of this article,

or aiding, abetting or assisting in said violation, shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
before any justice of the peace of this State or court of com-
petent jurisdiction therein, shall be fined not less than fifty
dollars nor more than one hundred dollars for each offence,
and for a second or repeated violation of said sections may, in
addition to said fines be imprisoned in the House of Correction
or in the city or county jail as the case may be, for not less
than one month nor more than six months.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 209.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the Board of Supervisors
of Election of Anne Arundel County, to divide and estab-
lish two voting precincts in the Fourth Election District of
said couuty, and to subdivide and establish two voting pre-
cincts in the first or Brooklyn precinct of the Fifth Election
District of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary -
land, That the Board of Supervisors of Election of Anne

Arundel county be and it is hereby authorized and directed to
subdivide and establish two voting precincts in the first or
Brooklyn precinct of the fifth election district of said county ;
the lines thereof to be so laid out and established as will in the
judgment of said board beet promote the convenience of the
voters therein respectively, and so as to divide equally as nearly
as may be the voting population of said first or Brooklyn pre-
cinct of said fifth election district.
