respects conform to the provisions of Article 83 of the Code
of Public General Laws, title " Election," in regard to such
new registration as by said article directed for a new registra-
tion, so that elections may be held hereafter in the new pre-
cincts hereby authorized to be established as heretofore in other
election districts and precincts of said county; they shall pro-
vide the necessary registration books, ballot boxes, polling
rooms, booths and other equipments, as by said Article 33
directed, and shall complete the work of establishing said new
precincts on or before the first day of June, eighteen hundred
and ninety-eight.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 202.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to meet the deficiency
and to pay the claim of Wm. J. C. Dulany Company for
books, blanks and stationery furnished the State Tax Com-
missioner under Chapter 120 of the Acts of 1896.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is here-
by authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the

Appropria-
tion.

Treasurer, in favor of the Wm. J. C. Dulany Company, for
two thousand six hundred and eighty-eight dollars and seventy-
eight cents, the sum hereby appropriated being the amount
required to meet the deficiency in the appropriation for books,
blanks and stationery furnished the State Tax Commissioner,
under chapter 120 of the Acts of 1896.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 7, 1898.

CHAPTER 203.

AN ACT to lay out and establish a new Election District in
Frederick County out of portions of Buckeystown District,
or Election District No. 1, Frederick District, or Election
District No. 2, and Jefferson District, or Election District
No. 14, to be called " Ballenger District," or Election Dis-
trict No. 23.
