LAWS OF MARYLAND.

consumers and mention of the property served with water,
fully identified, in a separate, well bound book, to be provided
for the purpose by the Town Commissioners of Hyattsville ;
he shall also render in writing quarterly to the said Commis-
sioners, and in addition thereto at such other times as they
may require of him, a statement or report of all moneys due,
payable and received by him on account of water charges, and
shall pay the wages of employes of said water works, and shall
pay for supplies, material, labor, etc., for said water works and
sewers employed and purchased respectively by the Town
Commissioners as hereinbefore provided for, on the order of
the president of the said Commissioners and attested by the

clerk and properly endorsed. The treasurer shall receive for
services such compensation as the Commissioners may direct,
not exceeding ten per centum of the moneys actually received
by him.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the title to said water
works and sewers, and all lands, estates, buildings, water
courses, water ways, wells, conduits, pipes, machinery, stand
pipes, reservoirs, tire plugs, water meters, if any, and all other
parts thereof whatever, and property and things belonging:

and pertaining thereto, shall when acquired, completed and
established, belonged to and vest in the town of Hyattsville,
and any person who shall knowingly or wilfully pollute any
spring, stream, brook, water course, well, stand-pipe, conduit
pipe or reservoir in connection with the said water works, so
completed, established and maintained, by throwing any
impure or deleterious substance or thing into the same, or by
swimming, bathing or washing themselves, or by washing
clothes or any other unclean or impure thing therein, or by
committing any nuisance in or near the sources of supply, or
the stand pipe, or reservoir, or conduits, or mains of said water
works, so as to pollote the same, or shall throw or place, or
cause to be thrown or placed anything in said water works and
sewers with intent to interfere or obstruct the operation of the
same, shall upon conviction of such offense be liable to a fine
of not less than five nor more than fifty dollars for each
offense, to be recovered by the Commissioners of Hyattsville
before a justice of the peace as other tines are recoverable ;
one-half of such tine to go to the informer and the balance to
the town of Hyattsville, for the purpose of this Act.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted. That the Town Commissioners of
Hyattsville shall from the revenues arising from the said water
works and from the general revenues of the town pay all
