Repeal.	SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Mary- land, That sections one hundred and seventy-eight, one hnn- dred and seventy-nine, one hundred and eighty and one hun- ' dred and eighty-one of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Charles County," sub-title "Taxes," be and the same are hereby repealed.
Effective.	SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect from and after the date of its passage. Approved March 29, 1898. CHAPTER 111.. AN ACT to add a new section to Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Washington," sub-title "Wit- nesses," to follow section 424, and to be known as Section 424 A.
New section added.	SECTION 1. J3e it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary- land, That a new section to Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Washington," sub-title " Witnesses," be added to said Article 22, to follow section 424, and to be known as Section 424 A. 424 A. Witnesses in Washington county who shall reside
Mileage allowed .	more than ten miles from the place of holding the Circuit Court, shall, in addition to the per diem allowed by law, receive eight cents for every mile exceeding the first ten to be allowed in going to Court; but no witness shall be allowed mileage for more than once going to said Court at any one time.
