shall have power to administer an oath to any person whose
testimony he may deem necessary in the prosecution of his
examination ; and all books and papers which such examiner
may deem necessary to examine shall be produced to him at
his request. The expenses and fee of any such examiner for
making an examination, not to exceed fifty dollars, shall be
paid by said corporation.
5 D. That every such examiner shall file with the Governor

 

for his information a report, signed and sworn to by him,
showing the result of his examination, which report the
Governor shall cause to be recorded in his office by the Secre-
tary of State with the reports of said corporation, the costs
and expenses of the recording of all said reports, at the rates
allowed to the clerks of the several circuit courts of the State
by law for recording deeds and other papers in their respective
offices, shall be paid by said corporation to the Secretary of
State as compensation for such recording. Every such exami-
ner shall furnish said corporation with a copy of his report,
when the same is filed by him.
5 E. That if it shall appear to the Governor from any report

nected with the management of the affairs of said corporation
have, in such management, wilfully violated any of the laws
of this State, the matter shall be referred by him to the
Attorney General, who shall thereupon, without delay, insti-
