be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction there-
of shall be fined not less than fifteen dollars, nor more than
thirty dollars, and upon failure to pay said fine, and cost of

prosecution, shall be confined in the jail of said county for the
period of thirty days. And the proceeds of all license
issued or fines collected under the provisions of this Act, shall
be paid to the Board of School Commissioners for Carroll
county.

CHAPTER 61.

AN ACT to extend the privileges, enlarge the powers and
amend the charter of " The Baltimore Mutual Aid Society
of Baltimore City," a corporation duly incorporated under
the General Laws of this State.
WHEREAS, The Baltimore Mutual Aid Society of Baltimore

Preamble.

City was duly incorporated on the 27th day of March, A. D.
1882, under the provisions of the General Laws of this State
relating to the creation and regulation of incorporated compa-
nies in the State of Maryland, and is desirous of extending the
privileges and enlarging the powers of said corporation ; there-
fore,
SECTION 1. B e it enacted by the General Assembly cf Mary-

land, That The Baltimore Mutual Aid Society of Baltimore
City, in addition to the powers possessed by it under its said
certificate of incorporation, and under the General Law of this
State, shall have and possess the further powers, rights, privi-
leges and franchises particularly mentioned in this Act; and
its charter, as set forth in said certificate, shall be altered and
amended so as to conform to the terms and provisions of this
Act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said The Baltimore
Mutual Aid Society of Baltimore City shall have perpetual suc-
cession, and may sue and be ened, and may have and use a

common seal, and the same may alter and renew at pleasure,
and shall also have power to ordain, establish and put in execu-
tion such by-laws and regulations as shall seem necessary for
the government and management of said corporation, and to
alter and repeal the same at pleasure, and shall have and exer-
cise all rights, powers and privileges which corporate bodies
may lawfully possess for the purposes mentioned in this Act.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said corporation
shall have the power to maintain and accumulate a reserve
