this charter. The Mayor and Councilmen, and all other officers
of the town, in office at the date of this Act, shall hold their
offices until their successors are elected or appointed and quali-
fied as herein provided. All ordinances, regulations and resolu-
tions now in force and not inconsistent with the provisions, of
this Act shall remain in force until altered or repealed by
competent authority. No provisions of this Act shall affect
any right, lien or liability subsisting at the date of its passage.

Flagman to
be kept.

34. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company is required
to keep a flagman or signalman stationed during each and every
day from five o'clock A. M. to ten o'clock P. M. from the first
of March to the first of November, and from six o'clock A.M.
to ten o'clock P. M. from the first of November to the first of
March, in each year, at each of the crossings of its railroad
over Frederick avenue and over Chester street in said town, to
warn persons using said streets and crossings over said rail-
road, at said crossings, of the approach of 'trains upon said
railroad.

Repeal.

35. All Acts and parts of Acts inconsistent with any of the
provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Public act.

36. This Act is hereby declared to be a public Act, and may
be read in evidence in all the courts of this State without
proof.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 527.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 448 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1894, entitled An Act to appropriate the fines
and forfeitures imposed by the Circuit Court for Baltimore
County and by Justices of the Peace thereof, to the Treas-
urer of the Board of County School Commissioners of Bal-
timore County, for the use of the public schools of said
county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 448 of the Acts of 1894, entitled "An
Act to appropriate the tines and forfeitures imposed by the
Circuit Court for Baltimore county and by justices of the
peace thereof, to the treasurer of the Board of County School
