Appropria-
tion.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the treasurer, on the warrant of the Comptroller,
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay to the order
of the clerk of the Court of Appeals of Maryland the sum of
one hundred and fifty dollars for work done and material fur-
nished in the restoration and arrangement of the plats of sur-
veys filed among the records of said court.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That upon there being

filed with him the certificate of J. Frank Ford, Esq., former
clerk of said court, that said material are in accordance with
the terms of his contract therefor, and that the sum of one
hundred and fifty dollars was the contract price, or is a reason-
able charge for the same, then the said clerk shall apply the
said one hundred and fifty dollars to the payment in lull for
said work and material.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 126
of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Talbot County," sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Local Laws, title "Talbot County," sub-title "Liquors and In-
toxicating Drinks," be. and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, so as to read as follows :

126. It shall be unlawful for any person to barter or sell
any cider or medicated bitters producing intoxication, or any
other intoxicating liquors, within the limits of said election
district of Talbot county ; provided, that nothing herein con-
tained shall be construed to prevent the compounding and sale
of spirituous liquors and medicated bitters producing intoxica-
tion, by a regular pharmacist or druggist having a license for
such business, upon the written bona fide prescription of a
regular practicing physician, whose name in full shall be signed
thereto, with the date, and the name of the person for whom
the prescription is intended ; and every such prescription shall
be filed and kept open for the inspection of the pro-per legal
officers, for at least one year by such pharmacist or druggist,
and such prescription shall serve for only one purchase, and
shall not be divided ; no physician shall make or sign any such
