appliances, or part of said plant, shall on conviction of said
offense be liable to a fine of not less than five ($5.00) dollars
nor more than fifty ($50.00) dollars for each offense, to be
recovered by the Mayor and Council of Rockville before a
justice of the peace as other fines are recovered, one-half of
such fines to go to the informer and the balance to the Mayor
and Council of Rockville. And the Mayor and Council of
Rockville is hereby authorized and empowered to make any an
all such ordinances as may be necessary to protect said plant
or any part thereof from iniury or destruction.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 504.
AN ACT to incorporate the Atlantic Trust and Deposit Com
pany of Baltimore.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Charles D. Blake, William Keyser, Andrew Pop-

plein, Isaac H. Shirk, George A. Mills, Frank Popplein,
William S. Bryan, Jr., Ernest F. King, George A. Blake,
' Richard H. Johns and Thomas P. Johns, and the subscribers
to the stock of the corporation hereby created, and their succes-
sors and assigns, be and they are hereby created a body cor-
porate by the name of the "Atlantic Trust and Deposit Com-
pany of Baltimore," and by that name shall have perpetual
succession, and shall be competent to sue and be sued in any
court of law or equity whatever; to have and use a common
seal and alter the same at its pleasure, and to make and adopt a
constitution and by-laws for the government of said body cor-
porate and its officers, not inconsistent with the laws of this
State or of the United States.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That Charles D. Blake, William

Body
corporate.

Heyser, Andrew Popplein, Isaac H. Shirk, George A. Mills,
Frank Popplein, William S. Bryan, Jr., Ernest F. King,
George A. Blake, Richard H. Johns and Thomas C. Johns, be
and they are hereby constituted and appointed the directors of
said corporation, and they shall have power, at any time after
the passage of this Act, to elect additional directors up to
twenty-five, as they may deem best, and organize by the elec-
tion of a president and such other officers as in their judgment
may be necessary, for the proper management of the affairs of
said company.
