LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 466.
AN ACT to provide for a general index of the Will Records
in the office of Register of Wills for Caroline County, and
for the rebinding, covering and titling such of the records as
by age and use may need it ; and for copying the index to
other records and books.

General

made.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the register of wills for Caroline county be and he
is hereby authorized and required to prepare and make a
general index of the will record books in his office, and shall
carefully compare the names embraced in 'such index with all
the wills of record therein.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the County Commissioners

Levy a sum
of money.

of Caroline county be and they are hereby authorized and
required to levy upon the assessable property of said county as
other county charges are levied, a sum sufficient to pay the
said register of wills three cents for each name entered in said
general index ; and also to pay the costs of a well bound and
suitable book for the purpose.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Orphans' Court of

Rebinding,
repair and
titling of
books.

Caroline county be and it is hereby authorized and empowered
to direct the rebinding, repair and titling of any of the books
, in the office of the said register of wills, which have or may,
by reason of age or use become defaced or injured ; an'd also
to direct the register to copy any book index, which may be
worn or unsuited for use, and the County Commissioners of
Caroline county are hereby authorized and required to levy
upon the assessable property of said county, as other county
charges are levied, a sum sufficient to pay all costs and expenses
incurred on account of said work and services.

CHAPTER 467.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County to grant to the Baltimore, Halethorpe and St.
Denis Railroad Company, and its connections, the right to
construct and operate railways on the public highways of
said county.

Extend and
operate.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Baltimore county,
in their discretion, are hereby authorized and empowered to
