others, shall be and is hereby authorized to deposit the same
for safe keeping with said corporation, and in all cases in which
public officers, municipal or private, are authorized to deposit
money, stocks, bonds or evidences of debt or other property,
such deposits by such officers or corporation may be made with
said corporation.
SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the president, vice-presi-

dents, each director and cashier, before entering upon the duties
of his office, shall take the following oath or affirmation, as the
case may be : "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will
faithfully, impartially, diligently and honestly execute the
office of , agreeable to the provisions of the law and the
trust reposed in me, to the best of my skill and judgment."
Said oath or affirmation shall be taken before any justice of
the peace or other person having authority under the laws of
this State to administer oaths and to be made in writing, signed
by the affiant and filed among the archives of the company.

One vote for
every share
held.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That at all elections of directors,

every stockholder shall be entitled to one vote for every share
held, and the stockholders may either vote in person or by
proxy, but no share of stock shall be entitled to vote which
shall not have been holden two calendar months previous to the
day of election.

Subject to
certain pro
visions.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That said corporation shall be
subject to the provisions of chapter 109 of the Acts of Assem-
bly of 1892, as amended by the Acts of 1896, chapter 160,
and to chapter 279 of the Acts of 1892, and to all general
laws applicable to corporations of a nature similar to that men-
tioned in this Act.

Effective.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAFTER 462.

AN ACT for the relief of the "United Charities Hospital
Association of Dorchester County, Maryland," and appro-
priating certain sums of money therefor.
