under the direction and control of the Governor ; for the
salary of an additional fireman, the sum of six hundred dollars
per annum ; for salary of stenographer and typewriter for
Treasury department, six hundred dollars per annum; for
salaries and expenses of Veterinary Inspectors, and for
appraised value of animals or buildings destroyed to prevent
the spread of infectuons or contagious diseases among live
stock, ten thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be nec-
essary, to be paid upon vouchers exhibited ; to the Comptroller
of the Treasury, for printing his annual report, one thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ; for clerical
services rendered State Board of Appeals, three hundred dol-
lars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ; to the Mayor of
the city of Annapolis, for the use of the fire department of
said city, one hundred and fifty dollars ; for the support of
insane convicts, as provided by chapter 123 of the Acts of 1890,
the sum of fifteen hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may
be necessary ; to the State Weather Bureau Service, two
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ; for
printing sample ballots and so forth, one thousand dollars, or
so much thereof as may be necessary, to be expended under
the direction of the Governor ; for printing the State school
report, thirteen hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be
necessary ; for the expenses of the Secretary of the Lunacy
Commission, fifteen hundred dollars, or so much thereof as
may be necessary ; to the Maryland State Firemen's Associa-
tion, the sum of two hundred dollars, or eo much thereof as
may be necessary, to be used in accordance with chapter 57 of
the Acts of 1896.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of the State,
on the warrant of the Comptroller, shall disburse the said sum or
sums of money herein appropriated for the objects and pur-
poses herein specified, to or upon the order of the person or
persons, or body politic or corporate, entitled to receive the
same.
