Friend shall have charge of the remainder of
said road, and that each shall on or before the
first day of September, A. D. eighteen hundred
and eighty-nine, render a specific account to the
county commissioners of their expenditures upon
said road, and shall return their vouchers for
such expenditures; and said superintendents
shall each be allowed as an item of such ex-
pense the sum of two dollars per day for their
services whilst engaged upon said road.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That should either

of said superintendents fail to qualify as re-
quired, or should either resign or die, his duties
shall devolve upon the other; and should both
fail to qualify, resign or die, the county commis-
sioners shall appoint two superintendents to
take their places with like power obligatory.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That all labor em-
ployed upon said road by said superintendents
shall be paid at the rate allowed by road super-
visors on other county roads in said county.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
