value of fifty dollars each, and that such increase,
when made, shall be made in the same manner
and under the same provisions of law as the in-
crease to sixty thousand dollars permitted by
section three of said chapter one hundred of the
act of eighteen hundred and eighty-six.
SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the said " The

Catonsville Water Company " is hereby empow-
ered to extend its operations to and including Elli-
cott city, and to within a radius or distance of
one-half a mile from the corporate limits thereof ;
and the, said " The Catonsville Water Company "
is hereby invested with and is hereby authorized
and empowered to exercise and use.all the pow-
ers, privileges, rights and franchises, and in
general to do anything within the corporate
limits of Ellicott city aforesaid, and the radius
or distance of half a mile therefrom aforesaid,
which it is now empowered to do in the village
of Catonsville and the first election district of
Baltimore county by the provisions of said act
of eighteen hundred and eighty-six, chapter one
hundred, and that all the provisions of this act
and of said chapter one hundred of said act of

and to be in force in Ellicott city, within its en-

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That all acts or

sistent or in conflict with this act, or any part
hereof, be and the same are hereby declared to
be inoperative as against this act, or such part
hereof, and that when so in conflict, or incon-
sistent therewith, the provisions of this act
shall stand and prevail and be in full force.

Effective.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
