ELTHU E JACKSON, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

George's county shall be four years, as now
fixed by law, and that he shall not be eligible
to re-election until after the interval of one full
term, and in no event until he shall have fully
settled up all business connected with his former
term — this to apply to present treasurer and his
successors.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the

treasurer and collector shall fully settle up with
the county commissioners within eighteen
months from the date of their levy all taxes
placed in his hands for collection, after which
time his bond shall be liable to suit for any
taxes uncollected as aforesaid ; and it shall be
the duty of the county commissioners, and they
are required to enter suit upon the bond of said
collector for all county taxes remaining uncol-
lected in the hands of the collector eighteen
months after the same were levied.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the
treasurer and collector for Prince George's
county shall be allowed commissions only on
taxes collected and paid over by him as re-
quired by law.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That all

by the treasurer and collector thereof, shall be
deposited in bank in the name of the treasurer
of said county, as treasurer and collector of said
county, and under no circumstances be deposited
in his own name alone.

laws or parts of laws inconsistent with this act
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
