annum before he or they shall so act.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That any person

who shall attempt to act as such dealer, broker
or middleman in hay, straw or husks, or who
shall sell, or engage to sell, any of the aforemen-
tioned commodities, without first having ob-
tained the license mentioned in the preceding
section shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and be subject to a fine of
two hundred dollars, or imprisonment in the
city jail for not less than sixty days, or both, in
the discretion of the court.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That when any per-

son shall secure a license to act as such dealer,
broker or middleman, such license shall only
permit the person named in such license to act
in such capacity, and shall not apply to or ena-
ble any agent or partner of said person so to act.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the provisions
of this act shall not apply to regular licensed
dealers in hay, straw or husks who have a fixed
place of business in the city of Baltimore.
