LAWS OP MARYLAND.

thousand dollars ; to the Maryland School for the
Blind, for the education of the deaf and dumb
and blind colored children of the state, seven
thousand dollars ; to the Maryland Agricultural

Colleges, acad-
emies, etc.

College, six thousand dollars, provided that no
more of said appropriation than the sum of five
dollars shall be paid to the said Maryland Agri-
cultural College unless and until the board of
trustees thereof shall be so changed as to include
one practical farmer, or person immediately
interested in agricultural pursuits, from each of
the congressional districts of this state ; for the
instruction of the indigent blind, to be applied
under the direction of the governor, in accord-
ance with the provisions of the act of eighteen
hundred and sixty-eight, chapter two hundred
and five, fifteen thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary.

CONTINGENT FUNDS.

For the contingent fund, placed at the
disposal of the governor by article three, sec-
tion thirty-two of the constitution, seven thous-
and and five hundred dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary; for the con-
tingent fund of the treasury department, for

advertising, stationery, blank books, expressage,
telegrams and other incidental expenses, twenty-
five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may
be necessary ; for the contingent fund of the
comptroller's office for printing blank licenses,
protests, circulars, warrants, books and other
office expenses, three thousand dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary ; for the con-
tingent fund of the land office, six hundred dol-
lars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ;
for the contingent fund of the court of appeals,
five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may
be necessary ; for the contingent fund of the
attorney general for printing and clerical ser-
vices, stationery, postage and other necessary
expenses, to be paid upon vouchers exhibited to
the comptroller, thirteen hundred dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary ; for the con-
tingent fund of the state librarian, for porterage,
postage, freight, purchase of stationery and
other incidental expenses, six hundred and fifty
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary.
