Chapter 472.

AN ACT to enlarge the powers of Shealtiel
Lodge, number one hundred and twenty-two,
Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of Garrett
county, so as to enable said lodge to acquire
and hold additional real estate in Garrett
county for burial or cemetery purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Shealtiel Lodge, number
one hundred and twenty-two, Independent Or-
der of Odd Fellows, of Garrett county, a corpora-
tion duly incorporated under the laws of the
State of Maryland by certificate recorded in the
office of the clerk of the circuit court for Gar-

rett county, shall have and the said corporation
is hereby granted the power to hold such land
and real estate in Garrett county as has hereto-
fore been purchased by and conveyed to it, and
also to purchase and hold such other and addi-
tional land and real estate in said county as it
shall deem necessary and proper for burial
and cemetery purposes, and to lay out into lots
and improve the said lands so held and pur-
chased, and hereafter to be purchased, for the
purposes aforesaid, and to sell and dispose of the
same for such purpose in accordance with the
rules and regulations now or hereafter to be pre-
scribed by the said corporation ; provided, how-
ever, that the lands and real estate so held and
