Chapter 435.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the claim of John R. Hudgins for picks and
tools furnished state tobacco warehouse, num-
ber two.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the comptroller of the

treasury be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to draw his warrant upon the treasurer
of the state for the sum of nineteen dollars and
thirty cents, in favor of John R. Hudgins, for
picks and tools furnished state tobacco ware-
house, number two.

Chapter 436.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the county
commissioners of Baltimore county to provide
a fire-engine and hose for the use of the town
of Towsontown, in Baltimore county, and to
furnish a suitable building therefor.

of Baltimore county are located at the county
seat, Towsontown, to wit : The court-house and
jail, and all the valuable records of the said
county are deposited and kept in the said court-
house ; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the county commission-
ers of Baltimore county are hereby authorized
and empowered to provide for the use of said
town of Towsontown one fire-engine and hose,
and to provide a suitable building for the same,
"if in their discretion they deem it necessary."
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said county
commissioners are hereby empowered to levy on
the assessable property of Baltimore county, in
their next annual tax levy, the sum of three
