timore counties be and they are hereby con-
stituted officers of this state and charged with
the enforcement of the provisions of this act in
each of said counties, and upon any waters to
which the same apply.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, &c., That the

possession of any net or trap, used or contrived
for purposes forbidden by this act, shall be prima
facie evidence against its possessor of its being
possessed for the purpose of violating this act.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, &c., That
nothing in this act shall be constituted to pro-
hibit the use, as now by law allowed, of what are
known as hauling seines when laid out from and
landed on the shore.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the county
commissioners of Baltimore county to levy a
sum of money for the purchase of a fire engine
and hose for the use of Reisterstown, in the
fourth election district, Baltimore county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the county commissioners
of Baltimore county be and they are authorized
and empowered to levy, at their next annual
levy upon the assessable property of said county,
the sum of three thousand dollars for the pur-
chase of a fire engine and hose, such as are now
in use by the Baltimore county fire department,
for the town of Reisterstown, fourth election dis-
trict, Baltimore county, if in their discretion
they deem it necessary.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
