Chapter 380.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments section one of chapter two hundred
and ten of the acts of eighteen hundred and
seventy-eight, as amended by the acts of
eighteen hundred and eighty, chapter one
hundred and twenty, and the act of eighteen
hundred and eighty-four, chapter thirty-one,
entitled "An act for the protection of par-
tridges, pheasants, rabbits, woodcock and rail
birds, and to prevent trespassing with dog or
gun on private property in Cecil and Harford
counties," so as to change the time of shoot-
ing certain game in Cecil county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That it shall not be lawful to
shoot, trap or kill, or in any manner destroy or

expose for sale any partridge or rabbit in Cecil
county between the tenth day of January and
the first day of November, and in Harford
county between the twenty-sixth day of Decem-
ber and the fifteenth day of October ; nor any
woodcock between the first day of January and
the tenth day of June in either of said counties;
nor any rail birds, reed bird or pheasants, be-
tween the first day of February and the fifth
day of September in each year in Cecil county ;
nor any rail birds or pheasants, between the first
day of February and the first day of September
in each year in Harford county ; and the pos-
session of any of the birds or game mentioned
in this section during the prohibited periods
shall be deemed prima facie evidence against
such persons of a violation of this act, except
when it may appear that such birds or game are
for breeding purposes.
