SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That no misnomer of

than five nor more than nine persons, who shall
from time to time, be chosen or appointed by the
general synod of the Evangelical Lutheran

such manner as it may deem best ; which per-
sons, when so chosen or appointed, shall hold
office as members of the corporation hereby cre-
ated until the choice or appointment of their
successors by the said general synod, and the
persons named in the first section of this act

sors; provided, however, that in the event of any
vacancy occurring by death, resignation or
otherwise in the membership of the corporation
hereby created, the majority of the remaining
members of the corporation may forthwith elect
a new member to fill such vacancy until the
next meeting of the aforesaid general synod.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said corpor-
