Chapter 336.
AN ACT granting a leave of absence to the-
police magistrates of Baltimore city..
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|

sence.

bly of Maryland, That the police magistrates for
Baltimore city be and are hereby granted a leave
of absence, with pay, for fifteen days during
each and every year; and the board of "Police
Commissioners" are hereby authorized to desig-
nate one of the civil magistrates to act in their
place during said absence, who shall be paid the
same as the police magistrates receive.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 337.
AN ACT creating a new election district in Car-
roll county, to be known as Mount Airy dis-
trict, number thirteen.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That a new election district be
created out of a portion of Franklin district, Car-
roll county, to be known as Mount Airy district,
number thirteen.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the lines of the

said district shall be as follows : Commencing at
Parr's spring and running northeast in the mid-
dle of the Patapsco river to the point of the en-
trance of Gillis falls in said river ; thence with
the said falls to where the Cabbage spring branch
enters said falls ; thence west with said branch
to the Roop road ; thence with a straight line to
the plank bridge on the Buffalo road, opposite
Albert Jones' gate ; thence in a southwestern
direction, along the line between Frederick and
Carroll counties, to the place of beginning, Parr's
spring.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
