perpetual succession, and shall be capable to sue
and be sued, to make and use a common seal, to
make by-laws, not inconsistent with law, for the
management of its property and the regulation
of its affairs, and generally to do and execute
all acts, matters and things as a corporation
may and can lawfully execute, and all such mat-
ters and things as maybe necessary to carry out
the object of said corporation.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects of
said corporation shall be to obtain and dissemi-

nate information upon industrial education, and
to stimulate public opinion in its favor; to invite
co-operation between existing organizations en-
gaged in any form of industrial training; to pro-
mote the training of both sexes in such industries
as shall enable those trained to become self-sup-
porting; to study and devise methods and sys-
tems of industrial training, and secure their intro-
duction into schools ; also, when expedient, to
form special classes and schools for such instruc-
tion, and to provide instructions for schools and
classes, and if necessary to train teachers for
this work.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the affairs of

said corporation shall be managed by a board of
sixteen managers, who shall be elected annually
by the members of said corporation, and the per-
sons named in the first section shall be the man-
agers until their successors are elected.

Effective.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to regulate fishing in the Patuxent
river with traps and purse seines.

sembly of Maryland, That it shall not be lawful
for any person or persons to catch or take fish
in the Patuxent river, or its tributaries, with
purse seines except for food purposes.
