three dollars and twelve cents, if in their
judgment the said sums have been erroneously
paid respectively by the said Ethelbert Bowie,
senior, Henry G. Robertson, Henry Owen and
Columbus E. Roby for county taxes.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the claim of William H. Rothrock and Harry
O: Stebbins, partners, trading as Rothrock and
Stebbins, for repairs to the state normal school.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the comptroller of the

treasury be and he is hereby authorized and di-
rected to issue his warrant upon the treasurer of
Maryland to pay to William H. Rothrock and
Harry O. Stebbins, partners, trading as Rothrock
and Stebbins, the sum of eight hundred and sev-
enty-two dollars and sixty-three cents for ma-
terial furnished and work done on the Maryland
state normal school in the year eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-seven ; said warrant to be issued
upon the certificate of the principal of the said
state normal school that the bill is correct.
