SEC. 27. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 326.
AN ACT to repeal section four of the acts of
assembly passed at the January session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, chapter fifty -
three, entitled "An act amendatory of an act
to establish and endow an agricultural college
in Maryland, passed at January session,
eighteen hundred and fifty-six, chapter ninety-
three, and of a supplemental act passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-
eight, chapter two hundred and sixty-five, as
said section was repealed, and re-enacted with
amendments by the act passed at January ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and eighty, chapter
two hundred and thirty-one," and to re-enact
the same with .amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That section four of the act of
assembly passed at the January session, eighteen
hundred and sixty-six, chapter fifty-three, en-
titled "An act amendatory of an act entitled an
act to establish and endow an agricultural college

enacted so as to read as follows :
4. The board of trustees of the Maryland
agricultural college shall be constituted as fol-
lows : There shall be eighteen trustees, five
