SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 330.
AN ACT to prohibit the granting of license for
the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or
lager beer at New London, Frederick county,
Maryland; or at any place in Frederick county,
Maryland, within one mile in every direction
from New London.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly, That hereafter it shall not be lawful for the

clerk of the circuit court for Frederick county
to issue license to any person or persons to sell
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at
New London, or at any place in Frederick county,
Maryland, nearer than one mile in every direc-
tion from New London, unless for medical
purposes, and upon the prescription of a regular
physician.
