Chapter 304.
AN ACT to refund to Daniel Z. Padgett, late
collector of state taxes for Frederick county,
ninety-two dollars and sixteen cents, hereto-
fore erroneously paid by him into the treasury
of the state.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That on the warrant of the

comptroller, the treasurer of the state is hereby
directed to pay to Daniel Z. Padgett, late col-
lector of state taxes for Frederick county, the
sum of ninety-two dollars and sixteen cents,
being the amount due said Daniel Z. Padgett on
the books of the comptroller for over-payment
into the treasury of the state, and which
amount is by the said comptroller and treasurer
recommended to be so paid.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 305.
AN ACT to empower the county commissioners
of Harford and Cecil counties, or either of
them, to contribute towards the building of a
bridge over the Susquehanna river in the state,
or to subscribe to the capital stock of a com-
pany chartered for said purpose.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

of Harford and Cecil counties, respectively, be
and they are each hereby authorized and empow-
ered, in their discretion, to contribute to the
building of a bridge over the Susquehanna river,
in the state, such sum or sums as they may deem
proper, not exceeding fifty thousand dollars for
each of said counties, upon such terms as may
