mittee of the democratic party for said county,
when said primary election is held by said party,
shall obtain a copy of the registration list of the
qualified voters of each district, duly certified
by the clerk of circuit court for said county (the
said clerk being hereby required to furnish such
certified copies to any such committee upon de-
mand and upon the payment of the usual f ees) ,and
deliver the same to one of said judges appointed
in each of said districts for the purpose of hold-
ing said election; and it shall be the duty of said
judges receiving said copies to keep the same
unchanged, and to have the same at the polling
places so said elections may be held by same ;
and one of said judges shall check off from said
list the name of each voter as his ballot is re-
ceived and placed in the ballot-box.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That said judges of

election shall have power to examine, under
oath, to be administered by any one of them, any
person offering to vote at any such election touch-
ing his qualifications and right to vote ; but be-
fore such examination it shall be their duty to
take from him the ballot which he shall tender;
and in case of the rejection of said ballot they
shall not put said ballot in the ballot-box, but
preserve it and all other rejected ballots and re-
turn them with the names of the persons offering
them, and the cause of rejection endorsed on the
back thereof, or destroy the same as herein re-
quired of the counted ballots.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That every voter
shall deliver to the judge or judges of election

names of not more than five persons as delegates,
who shall be members of the political association
or party holding such election, and residents of
the district wherein they are voted for, and the
ballots so delivered to and received by said

upon opening any of said ballots, there be found
any more than five names for delegates written
or printed thereon, or if any two or more of such
ballots be deceitfully folded together such bal-
lot or ballots shall be rejected and not counted.
