SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall

Chapter 258.
AN ACT to enable the qualified voters of the
tenth election district of Prince George's
county, known as Laurel district, to deter-
mine by ballot whether or not spirituous or
fermented liquors, or alcoholic bitters, shall
be sold in said election district.
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the question whether or
not any person or persons, house, corporation,
company or association, may sell spirituous or
fermented liquors, or alcoholic bitters, within

the limits of the tenth election district of Prince
George's county, known as Laurel district, shall
be submitted to the registered voters of said dis-
trict on the seventeenth day of April, in the
year eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, and all
the ballots cast at said election shall have
printed or written on them the words, "For the
sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or alco-
holic bitters," or the words," Against the sale of
spirituous or fermented liquors or alcoholic bit-
ters"; and votes cast for the sale of spirituous or
fermented liquors, or alcoholic bitters, and the
votes cast against the sale of spirituous or fer-
mented liquors, or alcoholic bitters, shall be
carefully counted by and certified to by the

judges of said election, and that said judges
shall within three days make a written return
of such vote to the clerk of the circuit court for
