circuit court for said county, shall be fined not
less than twenty dollars nor more than one hun-
dred dollars for each offence, and shall stand
committed till fines and costs are paid.

Effective.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 347.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the gover-
nor to appoint an additional justice of the
peace in and for the fourth election district of
Harford county.

Additional
justice.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the governor be and
he is hereby authorized and empowered to ap-
point an additional justice of the peace in and
for the fourth election district of Harford county.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 248.

AN ACT to add an additional section to article
seventy-five of the Code of Public General
Laws; title, "Pleadings, Practice and Pro-
cess," to be numbered twenty-two, sub-sec-
tion one hundred and eight.

New section.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the following be and the
same is hereby added as an additional section to
article seventy-five of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland : title, "Pleadings, Practice
and Process." to be numbered twenty-two, sub-
section one hundred and eight
