Chapter 240.

AN ACT to pay Samuel Comegys, late collector
of taxes for second district of Kent county, a
sum of money for state taxes, paid by him into
the treasury erroneously.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

sembly of Maryland, That the comptroller be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to pay to
Samuel Comegys, late collector, the sum of thirty
dollars and forty cents, the same having been
erroneously paid by him into the treasury, and
certified as errors, insolvents and removals, and
its repayment being recommended by the comp-
troller and the treasurer.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 241.

AN ACT to provide for the building of a school
house for white children in the first district of
Prince George's county, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

missioners of Price George's county be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to appro-
priate the sum of five hundred dollars, or as
much thereof as may be necessary out of the
fund, for the support of white schools for said
