Chapter 321.

AN ACT to repeal section thirty-six of chapter
two hundred and sixteen of the acts of assem-
bly, passed eighteen hundred and eighty-two,
title "Dorchester County," sub-title "Cam-
bridge," and tore-enact the same as amended,
and to add additional sub-sections A, B and C,
to create a police board and police for Cam-
bridge, and define their duties.

hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as
follows, and also to add additional sub-sections
A, B and C, creating a police board and police
for said town of Cambridge, and to define their
duties.
SEC. 36. The county commissioners for Dor-

and annually thereafter, pay to the commission-
ers of said town the sum of seven hundred dol-
lars, out of the taxes levied and collected for
roads in said county, to be applied, by the said
town commissioners, for corporate purposes.
SEC. 36 A. The mayor of the town of Cambridge,

shall constitute a board of police commissioners,
to serve without pay, and they, or a majority of
them, shall appoint, on or about the first day of
October, of each and every year, four sober, dis-
