LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Chapter 220.

AN ACT to incorporate the Homoeopathic Dis-
pensary and Hospital of 'Baltimore city.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

sembly of Maryland, That Enoch Pratt, David L.
Bartlett, Henry James, George S. Brown, George
B. Cole, Jordan Stabler, Eugene Levering, Ed-
ward Otis Hinkley, Edward C. Robinson, Charles
F. Hanna, William Cunningham and Charles F.
Pitt, Junior, and their associates and successors,
be and they are hereby constituted a body poli-
tic and corporate, by the name of " The Homoe-
opathic Dispensary and Hospital of Baltimore
city," for the purpose [of establishing, maintain-
ing and conducting, in the city and county of
Baltimore, dispensaries and hospitals for the re-
ception, care, and medical and surgical treat-
ment of the sick and injured, in accordance with
the principles and practice of homoeopathy.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the operations

of the said corporation are to be carried on in the
city of Baltimore, and in Baltimore county, and
that the principal office shall be located in the
city of Baltimore.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said cor-

poration shall have, as its members, in addition
to the persons named in the first section of this
act, all such persons as may be, at any legal
meeting of the corporation, nominated and elect-
ed members, in pursuance of its by-laws, and
also of all such persons as shall have contributed
to this corporation the sum of one hundred dol-
lars, or upwards, at any one time.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all other per-

the right to participate in the election of direc-
tors of that year ; provided, however, that no
person shall so participate who shall not have
paid his contribution at least three months prior
to the holding of such election.
