Chapter 218.

AN ACT to change the present lines dividing
Crisfield and Lawson's districts in Somerset
county.

Divisional
line.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
sembly of Maryland, That the present lines di-
viding Crrsfield and Lawson's district, in Somer-
set county, be and they are hereby changed, so
that hereafter the following line shall be the di-
visional line between said districts :
Beginning at a ditch at Apes' Hole Creek, be-
tween the lands of John W. Coulbourn and

Boundaries.

George R. Sterling, thence running a westerly
course by and with said ditch to the county road
near the Methodist Protestant church, commonly
called Mariner's church, thence by and with
said county road to the Crisfield branch of the
New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk Railroad,
thence north by and with said railroad to its in-
tersection with the present line dividing said
districts, thence by and with said present line to
the Annamessex river ; but all other lines di-
viding said districts shall remain as heretofore,
and the belt of land between the old line and the
line herein laid down is hereby annexed to Law-
son's district.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the register of
voters for Crisfield district, during his sitting in

the year eighteen hundred and eighty-eight,
shall strike from the list of registered voters in
said district all legally qualified voters residing
in said district, within the limit and lines of the
belt hereinbefore annexed to said Lawson's dis-
trict as aforesaid, all of which said voters it
shall be the duty of the register of voters in
Lawson's district to add to the legally qualified
list of voters of said Lawson's district, if they
are otherwise entitled to vote in said Lawson's
district.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
