Chapter 314.
AN ACT to refund to William Cabell Bruce, of
Baltimore city, certain sums of money erro-
neously paid into the treasury of the state.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

sembly of Maryland, That the treasurer of the
state be and he is hereby authorized and di-
rected, upon the warrant of the comptroller, to
pay William Cabell Bruce, of Baltimore city, the
administrator de bonis non of the late Mary Lucy
Lathrop, of Baltimore county, the sum of
twenty-five dollars and sixty-four cents, being
the sum that the said William Cabell Bruce has
paid into the treasury of the state erroneously
as collateral inheritance tax.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 315.
AN ACT to prevent stock running at large in
that part of district number one, or fork, lying
on the west side of the northwest fork of the
Nanticoke river, in Dorchester county.
SECTION 1. And be it enacted by the General As-

for stock of any kind to go at large, without
an attendant, in that part of district number one,
or fork, lying on the west side of the northwest
prong of the Nanticoke river, in Dorchester
county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be

lawful for any person, and the duty of any con-
stable, of said district number one, or fork, to
take up any horse, mare or gelding, or mule,
horned cattle, swine, or other stock running at
large, and without attendants, in that part of
said district number one or fork specified in this
act, and the person or constable so taking up
