LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Chapter 185.

AN ACT to add certain sub-sections, to be des-
ignated sections forty A, forty B, forty G,
forty D, forty E, forty F, forty G, forty H,
forty I, forty J and forty K, to section forty
of article eleven of the Code of Public Local
Laws of the State of Maryland, title ' Freder-
ick County,' sub-title 'Circuit Court,' pro-
viding for rule days and return days in said
court for the entry of judgments and return
of process.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the following sub-sections,

forty I, forty J and forty K, be added to section
forty of article eleven of the Code of Public
Local Laws of the State of Maryland, entitled
'Frederick County,' sub-title 'Circuit Court,' as
amended by the act of the general assembly of
the session of eighteen hundred and eighty-six,
chapter two hundred and fourteen.
SEC. 40A. In addition to the first day of each

day in July, and the third Monday in October in
each year, shall be return days for the return of
process in civil cases.
SEC. 40B. All original writs of execution, at-

tachments, replevin, ejectment, scire facias and
habere facias, as well as all other writs and pro-
cess issued from or returnable to said court in
civil cases, shall be made returnable to the first
return day, or to the first day of the term,
whichever shall first occur after the issue of
the same, unless otherwise ordered in writing
by the party directing the same or his attor-
ney, and on the return of an original writ
not executed or served, the same may be renewed
returnable to the next return day or to the first
day of the succeeding term, whichever shall
first occur.
